Why go to Thailand
Thailand is the classic first international trip for Indian travellers, and it never gets old. The Andaman coast around Phuket and Krabi is famous for limestone cliffs, turquoise water and island hopping, while Koh Samui in the Gulf of Thailand brings palm-lined beaches and a laid-back island feel. Add street food, night markets, temples like Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha in Phuket, and some of the best nightlife in Asia, and it is easy to see why groups love it.
Best time to visit
November to April is the most popular season, with drier, sunnier weather on the Andaman coast. May to October is the rainy season on that side, with rougher seas on some days. Koh Samui follows a slightly different pattern, with its wettest months usually towards the end of the year.
How to reach
Phuket International Airport is the main gateway for the islands, with direct and connecting flights from several Indian cities. Bangkok is the other major hub. Indian passport holders should check the current visa rules for Thailand well before travel.

It starts in Phuket and moves to Krabi for a Four Island tour by speedboat, then on to Koh Samui for time on the island and a leisure day, back to Phuket by bus and ferry for a city walk and pub crawl, and a Phi Phi day trip by speedboat before departure from Phuket. Airport pick-up and drop at the destination city is included. Trips run every Friday, and groups usually have 8 to 50 travellers, many joining solo.
