Chakrata is an old British Indian Army cantonment town in Dehradun district, Uttarakhand, tucked between the Tons and Yamuna rivers at an elevation of 2,118m, about 98 km from Dehradun. Quiet forests, fresh mountain air and some seriously good viewpoints make it a perfect quick escape.

This 1 Night / 2 Days weekend getaway covers all travel and transfers in an AC traveller or bus. Day 1 you reach Chakrata and head out on the trek to Budher Caves, then settle into your resort for an evening of bonfire and music. Day 2 is for Tiger Falls, one of the region's best-known waterfalls, and the views from Chirmiri Neck Top before heading back. Other highlights on the trip include Moila Top and a stroll around Chakrata Market.

Day-wise itinerary

01Day 1Reach Chakrata | Bhudher Cave Trek
Reach Chakrata in morning. Check-in the resort, rest for a while. After some rest, drive towards Budher cave (a hike of 5km). In evening, return back to resort. In evening enjoy bonfire with snacks and some music. Conclude with dinner and overnight stay.
02Day 2Visit to tiger waterfall & chirmiri neck top
After breakfast, check out from resort and visit highest waterfalls in Uttarakhand, known as Tiger Falls. Later, move towards Chirmiri Neck Top, enjoy scenic sunset. and afterwards depart for Dellhi. Reach Delhi by early morning.
