Overview

A long weekend in the upper Bhagirathi valley: this 2 Nights / 3 Days Harsil Valley and Gartang Gali group trip leaves Delhi in the evening and travels overnight. The departure time and location are shared once your booking is confirmed.

Day 1 reaches Uttarkashi in the morning for breakfast, stops at Khedi waterfall and gets to Harsil by evening for a bonfire and dinner. Day 2 covers the 2.5 km Gartang Gali trek from Lanka Bridge, Gangotri Temple and Surya Kund. Day 3 is the 2.5 km trek to Lama Top and a visit to Bagori Village before the late-afternoon drive back, reaching Delhi early the next morning. AC transport, 2 nights in Harsil, 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners, Gangotri registration and a trip coordinator are included. Prices start at β‚Ή9,499 per person on quad sharing (5% GST extra).

Day-wise itinerary

  1. 00Day 0Departure from Delhi

    The departure time and location are shared once your booking is confirmed. Depart for Harsil. Overnight journey from Delhi to Harsil.

  2. 01Day 1Uttarkashi and reach Harsil Valley

    Reach Uttarkashi by morning. Freshen up and have breakfast. Resume the journey to Harsil Valley, with a stop at Khedi waterfall on the way. Reach Harsil in the evening. Check in at the campsite or homestay. There is a short 500-metre trek to the homestay. Explore the local Harsil village if time permits. Enjoy a bonfire in the evening, followed by dinner. Overnight stay.

  3. 02Day 2Gartang Gali, Gangotri and Surya Kund

    Wake up early and have breakfast. Drive to Lanka Bridge, where the Gartang Gali trek starts. The trek is 2.5 km. Gartang Gali is a skywalk near the Indo-China border. Head to Gangotri Temple. Gangotri is a small town in Uttarkashi with the temple of Goddess Ganga at its heart. Visit Surya Kund, a short trek near Gangotri. Return to the stay in Harsil. Dinner and overnight stay.

  4. 03Day 3Lama Top and Bagori Village | Return to Delhi

    Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast. Trek to Lama Top, a 2.5 km trek. Visit Bagori Village. Board the vehicle for Delhi in the late afternoon. Stop for dinner on the way, around Rishikesh or Chamba. Reach Delhi early the next morning, where the trip ends.

  • Parking and monument entry fees during sightseeing
  • Additional costs due to flight cancellations, landslides, roadblocks and other natural calamities
  • Any other services not specified in the inclusions

Cancellation Policy

  • No refund for no-shows or early check-outs.
  • Meals, activities or services you don't use aren't adjusted or refunded.
  • If a trip is cancelled because of political unrest, government guidelines, extremely poor weather or unsafe conditions, you get a full credit (equal to the amount paid) to use on any future Travel Devils booking, not a cash refund.

Reporting point

Departure is in the evening from Delhi. The exact pickup point and time are shared once your booking is confirmed.
  • Extra mattresses are provided for triple and quad sharing.
  • There is a short 500-metre trek to the homestay in Harsil.
  • Carry a valid government-approved photo ID. There is no boarding without it.
  • The departure time is fixed. Keep your phone reachable and update your trip coordinator; they will try calling you, but we can't hold the bus.
  • Smoking isn't allowed on the bus.
  • The itinerary can change because of weather, road conditions or safety. All sightseeing is subject to weather and local authority guidelines.
  • On hill roads the driver may switch off the AC or sound system. Safety comes first.
  • Travel insurance isn't included. We recommend buying it before the trip.
  • Any increase in entry fees, taxes or fuel costs by the government after booking is charged extra.
  • Extra costs from delays outside our control (natural calamity, vehicle breakdown, road closures) are borne by travellers.
  • Damage to room or camp furnishings is payable by the guest responsible.

How do I book and pay?

Reserve your seat by paying 50% of the trip cost, and pay the rest at least 4 days before the trip. 5% GST is added to the price.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel more than 10 days before the travel date and 50% of the advance is refunded; 5 to 10 days before, 25% of the advance; less than 5 days before, there is no refund. There is no refund for no-shows or early check-outs.

What do I need to carry?

A valid government-approved photo ID is a must: there is no boarding without it. Also pack comfortable clothes, sports or trekking shoes, a warm layer for the season, personal medicines and some cash. The full list is under Things To Pack.
