A trekking weekend in Uttarakhand: this 2 Nights / 3 Days Chopta Tungnath group trip leaves Delhi at night and returns early in the morning after Day 3. You board the bus or traveller at Vaishali Metro Station (reporting 9:00 PM) and travel overnight.

Day 1 stops at Devprayag to see the confluence of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers, then continues to Chopta for a forest walk, a bonfire and a home-style dinner. Day 2 is the early-morning trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila Peak, weather permitting. Day 3 is the drive to Sari Village and the trek to Deoriatal Lake, followed by the return journey with a stop in Rishikesh if time permits. Transport, 2 nights in Swiss camps or a homestay, the listed veg meals and a trip captain or trek guide are included. Prices start at ₹6,499 per person on quad sharing (5% GST extra).

00Day 0Delhi to Chopta | Overnight journey
Board the bus or traveller from Vaishali Metro Station, Delhi. Reporting time: 9:00 PM.
01Day 1Devprayag Sangam | Chopta arrival
Stop at Devprayag to see the confluence of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers. After breakfast near Rudraprayag, proceed to Chopta. Check in and relax. Take a forest walk. Enjoy a bonfire in the evening and have a home-style dinner.
02Day 2Trek to Chandrashila via Tungnath Mahadev Temple
Early in the morning, trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila Peak (weather permitting). Return to Chopta and relax. Overnight stay in Chopta.
03Day 3Drive to Sari Village | Trek to Deoriatal | Depart for Delhi
After breakfast, drive to Sari Village. Trek to Deoriatal Lake and return to Sari. Begin the return journey to Delhi, with a stop in Rishikesh for exploration, cafe hopping and visits to temples and the Ganga ghats (if time permits). Reach Delhi early the next morning.

Cost of a snow-chained or 4x4 vehicle if needed due to heavy snowfall
Extra costs caused by natural calamity, weather conditions, riots, roadblocks, landslides or any other situation beyond our control

Cancellation Policy

No refund for no-shows or early check-outs.
Meals, activities or services you don't use aren't adjusted or refunded.
If a trip is cancelled because of political unrest, government guidelines, extremely poor weather or unsafe conditions, you get a full credit (equal to the amount paid) to use on any future Travel Devils booking, not a cash refund.

Carry a valid government-approved photo ID. There is no boarding without it.
The departure time is fixed. Keep your phone reachable and update your trip coordinator; they will try calling you, but we can't hold the bus.
Smoking isn't allowed on the bus.
The itinerary can change because of weather, road conditions or safety. All sightseeing is subject to weather and local authority guidelines.
On hill roads the driver may switch off the AC or sound system. Safety comes first.
Travel insurance isn't included. We recommend buying it before the trip.
Any increase in entry fees, taxes or fuel costs by the government after booking is charged extra.
Extra costs from delays outside our control (natural calamity, vehicle breakdown, road closures) are borne by travellers.
Damage to room or camp furnishings is payable by the guest responsible.

Both nights are in Chopta, in Swiss camps or a homestay. Room heaters are not included.

How do I book and pay?

Reserve your seat by paying 50% of the trip cost, and pay the rest at least 4 days before the trip. 5% GST is added to the price.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel more than 10 days before the travel date and 50% of the advance is refunded; 5 to 10 days before, 25% of the advance; less than 5 days before, there is no refund. There is no refund for no-shows or early check-outs.

What do I need to carry?

A valid government-approved photo ID is a must: there is no boarding without it. Also pack comfortable clothes, sports or trekking shoes, a warm layer for the season, personal medicines and some cash. The full list is under Things To Pack.
