Overview

A 6 Nights / 7 Days Northeast escape from Guwahati: Shillong, crystal-clear Dawki, Mawlynnong, the Double Decker Root Bridge, Cherrapunji's waterfalls and a night at Kaziranga National Park, home of the one-horned rhino.

Our representative meets you at Guwahati Airport by 11 AM on Day 1 for the drive to Shillong via Umiam Lake. Days 2 to 5 follow the classic Meghalaya circuit: Laitlum Canyon and the falls on the way to Dawki, boating on the Umngot and Mawlynnong on the way to Cherrapunji, the guided Root Bridge trek from Tyrna, and Cherrapunji's caves and waterfalls before returning to Shillong. Day 6 is the transfer to Kaziranga for the night, and Day 7 ends at Guwahati Airport via Umiam Lake. Six nights, meals as per the itinerary, all road travel, the trek guide and 30 minutes of boating are included. Prices start at ₹24,000 per person on triple sharing (₹26,500 on Christmas and New Year batches), plus 5% GST.

01Day 1Guwahati to Shillong
Arrive at Guwahati Airport by 11 AM, where our representative meets and greets you. Depart for Shillong around 12 PM on a scenic drive, with a photo stop at Umiam Lake (Barapani). Check in at the hotel, then free time to explore the local market at Police Bazar. Overnight in Shillong.
02Day 2Shillong to Dawki / Shnongpdeng
Breakfast at the hotel, then head towards Dawki. On the way: valley views at Laitlum Canyon, the stunning Krang Suri Falls and the hidden gem Phe Phe Falls. Reach Dawki / Shnongpdeng, check in and relax by the riverside. Dinner and overnight stay at Dawki.
03Day 3Dawki to Mawlynnong to Cherrapunji
After breakfast, go boating on the crystal-clear Umngot River (30 minutes included). Explore Mawlynnong, Asia's cleanest village, and walk the Bamboo Sky Walk for views over the Bangladesh plains. Drive on to Cherrapunji, check in and relax. Overnight in Cherrapunji.
04Day 4Double Decker Root Bridge trek
After breakfast, drive to Tyrna Village and start the trek to the Single Root Bridge. Continue to the iconic Double Decker Living Root Bridge and explore the forest around it, then trek back to Tyrna (about 3,300 steps each way, about 6,600 in total; guide included). Drive back to Cherrapunji and rest. Overnight in Cherrapunji.
05Day 5Cherrapunji sightseeing to Shillong
After breakfast, visit Mawsmai Cave, Arwah Cave and the Garden of Caves. Viewpoints of Nohkalikai Falls and Seven Sisters Falls, the Mawkdok Dympep Valley and Eco Park. Drive back to Shillong. Overnight in Shillong.
06Day 6Shillong to Kaziranga
Breakfast in Shillong, then transfer to Kaziranga National Park, home of the one-horned rhino. Overnight in Kaziranga.
07Day 7Kaziranga to Guwahati Airport
Stop at Umiam Lake, then continue to Guwahati Airport to fly back. The tour ends. Book your return flight after 5 PM.

No refunds for any inclusion you don't use.
Plan 25 to 40 minutes at each sightseeing stop so you cover every place on the list.
Flying back? Book your return flight after 5 PM.
Carry a valid government-approved photo ID. IDs are verified before boarding, and there is no boarding without one.
The departure time is fixed. Report at the pickup point 30 minutes early and keep your trip coordinator updated.
The departure point and time may change. Final pickup details are shared with confirmed travellers before the trip.
Bookings can't be transferred. Only the names given at confirmation may travel.
The AC is switched off in the hills, and the driver may switch it off whenever needed for safety.
Drinking and smoking are strictly prohibited during the journey.
Misconduct or indiscipline isn't tolerated. We are a cordial travel community.
Look after your own luggage and belongings; we can't be responsible for missing items.
Travel Devils isn't responsible for delays, changes or extra costs caused by natural hazards, accidents, breakdowns, weather, landslides, political closures or other incidents.
We don't provide insurance for sickness, accidents, theft or other losses.

Where does the trip start and end?

At Guwahati Airport. Arrive by 11 AM on Day 1; on Day 7 you are dropped back at the airport, so book your return flight after 5 PM.

How much does the Meghalaya Kaziranga trip cost?

On regular batches: ₹24,000 per person on triple sharing and ₹26,000 on double. On Christmas and New Year batches: ₹26,500 and ₹28,500. 5% GST is extra.

What is included?

6 nights (Shillong, Dawki, Cherrapunji and Kaziranga), meals as per the itinerary, all road travel by tempo traveller, SUV or sedan, the Root Bridge trek guide, 30 minutes of boating at Dawki, all tolls, parking, fuel and driver allowance, and an operations executive on call 24x7.

Is a Kaziranga safari included?

The trip includes a night at Kaziranga. Any additional safari or guide charges are not included.

What is the cancellation policy?
