Overview

Jaisalmer, the "Golden City" of Rajasthan, is a magical mix of history and desert adventure, best visited between October and March. At its heart is the 12th-century Jaisalmer Fort (Sonar Quila), a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the few living forts in the world, surrounded by ornately carved havelis and golden sandstone lanes.

This 2 Nights / 3 Days group trip covers all travel as per the itinerary in a tempo traveller or mini bus. Day 1 you reach Jaisalmer and set off on a city tour: think the fort, Patwon-ki-Haveli, Nathmal-ki-Haveli, Salim Singh-ki-Haveli and an easy evening at Gadisar Lake. Day 2 takes you to the Longewala battlefield, with offbeat stops like Kuldhara abandoned village, Bada Bagh cenotaphs and the War Museum among the trip highlights. Out at the Sam Sand Dunes you get jeep dune bashing, a camel safari and that famous desert sunset, followed by a night in Swiss tents with a bonfire and Rajasthani folk music and dance. Day 3 wraps up the city tour before departure.

01Day 1REACH JAISALMER | CITY TOUR
Upon reaching Jaisalmer, Get ready for a Guided tour of Jaisalmer - Golden City. Visit the golden Jaisalmer Fort that looks like it has just risen from the sands with its golden limestone walls and ancient havelis of Jaisalmer. Take a short stopover at the beautiful Gadisar Lake that was once the only source of water in Jaisalmer. Overnight stay at Hotel in Jaisalmer.
02Day 2LONGEWALA BATTLEFIELD
Wake up at your hotel to a beautiful morning and enjoy a delicious breakfast. Later, get ready to visit the border town of Longewala, the spot for Indo- Pak war of 1971. Longewala is a place of historical significance that serves as a reminder of the bravery and sacrifice of Indian soldiers during a critical moment in the nation's history. In the evening, enjoy folk performances by the locals while enjoying a bonfire. Have your wholesome Rajasthani meal with the fellow travelers. Overnight stay at the Desert Camp in Jaisalmer.
03Day 3JAISALMER CITY TOUR TO DEPARTURE
Wake up in the morning, enjoy a hearty breakfast and check out from the campsite. Later get ready for Camel ride on Sam Sand Dunes & Jeep Safari and you can experience the spectacular view of Sunrise in Thar desert. Post lunch, get ready to get chills in bone as you explore abandoned village of Kuldhara. Later, depart for Delhi around 4-5PM. Reach Delhi the next morning with beautiful trip memories.
