Overview

McLeodganj and Bir in one weekend: this 2 Nights / 3 Days group trip leaves Delhi in the evening, with pickup from Chandigarh also available. The departure time and location are shared once your booking is confirmed. You get a short briefing from the trip leaders and travel overnight in an AC vehicle.

Day 1 is McLeodganj: the flea market, Bhagsu waterfall, Dalai Lama Monastery and cafes, with dinner and a night at the hotel. Day 2 is the drive to Bir with stops at Dharamshala HPCA Stadium, Palampur tea gardens and Baijnath Temple, ending with a bonfire and light music. On Day 3 you head to the Billing take-off site for paragliding (cost extra) before the evening departure. Prices start at ₹7,699 per person on quad sharing (5% GST extra).

Day-wise itinerary

00Day 0Departure from Delhi / Chandigarh
Departure in the evening. The departure time and location are shared once the booking is confirmed. The group assembles at the pickup point. Get a short briefing from the trip leader(s). Halt for dinner on the way (not included).
01Day 1McLeodganj exploration | Dalai Lama Monastery
Reach McLeodganj, check in at the hotel and freshen up. After some rest, explore the McLeodganj flea market. Visit Bhagsu waterfall, Dalai Lama Monastery and cafes. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
02Day 2HPCA Stadium, Palampur tea gardens and Baijnath Temple | Reach Bir
Have breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Bir. On the way, visit Dharamshala HPCA Stadium, Palampur tea gardens and Baijnath Temple. Reach Bir in the evening and check in at the stay. Enjoy a bonfire with some light music. Dinner and overnight stay at Bir.
03Day 3Paragliding at Billing | Departure
Wake up early and have breakfast. Leave for the Billing paragliding take-off site (paragliding cost extra). Back in Bir, take in the views. Depart in the evening for the overnight journey back.

Less than 5 days before the travel date	No refund

No refund for no-shows or early check-outs.
Meals, activities or services you don't use aren't adjusted or refunded.
If a trip is cancelled because of political unrest, government guidelines, extremely poor weather or unsafe conditions, you get a full credit (equal to the amount paid) to use on any future Travel Devils booking, not a cash refund.

Things to know

Reporting point

Departure is in the evening from Delhi. The exact pickup point and time are shared once your booking is confirmed. Pickup from Chandigarh is also available.

Extra mattresses are provided for triple and quad sharing.
Carry a valid government-approved photo ID. There is no boarding without it.
The departure time is fixed. Keep your phone reachable and update your trip coordinator; they will try calling you, but we can't hold the bus.
Smoking isn't allowed on the bus.
The itinerary can change because of weather, road conditions or safety. All sightseeing is subject to weather and local authority guidelines.
On hill roads the driver may switch off the AC or sound system. Safety comes first.
Travel insurance isn't included. We recommend buying it before the trip.
Any increase in entry fees, taxes or fuel costs by the government after booking is charged extra.
Extra costs from delays outside our control (natural calamity, vehicle breakdown, road closures) are borne by travellers.
Damage to room or camp furnishings is payable by the guest responsible.

Where and when does the trip start?

Departure is in the evening from Delhi. The exact pickup point and time are shared once your booking is confirmed. Pickup from Chandigarh is also available. You travel overnight and reach the hills the next morning.

How much does the McLeodganj & Bir Billing trip cost?

₹7,699 per person on quad sharing, ₹8,199 on triple sharing and ₹8,699 on double sharing. 5% GST is extra.

What is included?

1 night in a hotel at McLeodganj and 1 night in camps at Bir, 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners, transfers in an AC vehicle, sightseeing as per the itinerary and a tour curator. Dinner on the journey from Delhi is not included.

Is paragliding included in the price?

No. On Day 3 you go to the Billing paragliding take-off site, but the paragliding cost is extra and paid separately.

Where do we stay?

The first night is in a hotel at McLeodganj and the second night is in camps at Bir. Extra mattresses are provided for triple and quad sharing.

How do I book and pay?

Reserve your seat by paying 50% of the trip cost, and pay the rest at least 4 days before the trip. 5% GST is added to the price.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel more than 10 days before the travel date and 50% of the advance is refunded; 5 to 10 days before, 25% of the advance; less than 5 days before, there is no refund. There is no refund for no-shows or early check-outs.

What do I need to carry?

A valid government-approved photo ID is a must: there is no boarding without it. Also pack comfortable clothes, sports or trekking shoes, a warm layer for the season, personal medicines and some cash. The full list is under Things To Pack.
