Overview

A Kumaon road trip with a short trek at the end: this 3 Nights / 4 Days Munsiyari and Khaliya Top group trip leaves Delhi in the evening. You gather at the pickup point, meet the group and travel overnight through Ranikhet and Almora towards the village of Kasar Devi.

Day 1 is in Kasar Devi, with the hilltop temple, a village walk, the cafes and sunset over the Kumaon valley. Day 2 is the drive to Munsiyari, with stops at Bageshwar, Sama Village and Birthi Waterfall. Day 3 is the trek from Balati Bend to Khaliya Top, 5 km one way, with an optional hike on to Zero Point and a night at the top. Day 4 starts with sunrise, then the trek down to Munsiyari and the drive back to Delhi. Transport, three nights of stay, 3 breakfasts, 3 dinners and a trip captain are included. Prices start at ₹9,999 per person on quad sharing (5% GST extra).

Day-wise itinerary

00Day 0Delhi to Almora
Gather at the designated pickup point in Delhi by evening. Meet your fellow travellers and begin the overnight journey towards the village of Kasar Devi, near Almora. Overnight drive on the hill roads of Uttarakhand, passing through towns like Ranikhet and Almora.
01Day 1Arrival in Kasar Devi | Temple and village walk
Morning: arrive and check in to your stay. Freshen up and relax after the journey. Afternoon: visit Kasar Devi Temple, a hilltop temple. Village walk and cafe hopping: explore the local lanes and cafes. Watch the sunset over the Kumaon valley. Evening: return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
02Day 2Kasar Devi to Munsiyari
Morning: after breakfast, begin the drive to Munsiyari. Stop at Bageshwar, a town at the confluence of the Saryu and Gomti rivers. Stop at Sama Village for a short halt. Stop at Birthi Waterfall, a 126 m high fall, for photographs. Evening: arrive in Munsiyari, check in to your stay and relax. Dinner and overnight stay in Munsiyari.
03Day 3Munsiyari to Khaliya Top | Zero Point
Morning: after breakfast, begin the trek from Balati Bend to Khaliya Top. Distance: 5 km one way. Duration: 2.5 to 3 hours. The trail runs through pine forests and meadows. Reach Khaliya Top and rest in forest huts or tents. Optional hike: trek further to Zero Point for views of Panchachuli, Nanda Kot and Rajrambha. Evening: sunset views, dinner and an overnight stay.
04Day 4Khaliya Top to Munsiyari | Return to Delhi
Early morning: watch the sunrise over the snow-capped peaks. After breakfast, trek down to Munsiyari. Start the return journey to Delhi by afternoon. Reach Delhi by late night or early morning the next day.

Cancellation Policy

Less than 5 days before the travel date	No refund

No refund for no-shows or early check-outs.
Meals, activities or services you don't use aren't adjusted or refunded.
If a trip is cancelled because of political unrest, government guidelines, extremely poor weather or unsafe conditions, you get a full credit (equal to the amount paid) to use on any future Travel Devils booking, not a cash refund.

Things to know

Reporting point

Departure is in the evening from Delhi. The exact pickup point and time are shared once your booking is confirmed.

Meal plan: dinner on Day 1, breakfast and dinner on Days 2 and 3, and breakfast on Day 4.
The night at Khaliya Top is in forest huts or tents.
The hike from Khaliya Top to Zero Point is optional.
Carry a valid government-approved photo ID. There is no boarding without it.
The departure time is fixed. Keep your phone reachable and update your trip coordinator; they will try calling you, but we can't hold the bus.
Smoking isn't allowed on the bus.
The itinerary can change because of weather, road conditions or safety. All sightseeing is subject to weather and local authority guidelines.
On hill roads the driver may switch off the AC or sound system. Safety comes first.
Travel insurance isn't included. We recommend buying it before the trip.
Any increase in entry fees, taxes or fuel costs by the government after booking is charged extra.
Extra costs from delays outside our control (natural calamity, vehicle breakdown, road closures) are borne by travellers.
Damage to room or camp furnishings is payable by the guest responsible.

How much does the Munsiyari & Khaliya Top trip cost?

₹9,999 per person on quad sharing, ₹10,999 on triple sharing and ₹11,999 on double sharing. 5% GST is extra.

How long is the Khaliya Top trek?

The trek from Balati Bend to Khaliya Top is 5 km one way and takes 2.5 to 3 hours, through pine forests and meadows. The hike further to Zero Point is optional. You trek back down to Munsiyari on Day 4.

Where do we stay?

Night 1 is in a homestay at Kasar Devi/Almora, night 2 is in a homestay at Munsiyari and night 3 is in camps at Khaliya Top.

How do I book and pay?

Reserve your seat by paying 50% of the trip cost, and pay the rest at least 4 days before the trip. 5% GST is added to the price.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel more than 10 days before the travel date and 50% of the advance is refunded; 5 to 10 days before, 25% of the advance; less than 5 days before, there is no refund. There is no refund for no-shows or early check-outs.

What do I need to carry?

A valid government-approved photo ID is a must: there is no boarding without it. Also pack comfortable clothes, sports or trekking shoes, a warm layer for the season, personal medicines and some cash. The full list is under Things To Pack.
